Mike and all, speaking of best posters - now that 1997 is about to be history, let us recognize the best of SI.

Here is a starter. (You may want to nominate more people to each category. Hopefully someone will complete and compile the survey while I am gone.)

SI's Guru of the Year
Overall best: understands the domestic and international markets, (stocks bonds commodities) shares the knowledge and wisdom with others.
My nominations: Michael D. Burke, Iqbal Latif, Tom Trader, tekgk, Zeev Hed, Joseph G. (never mind if he called you a sucker, because, in all likelihood, you are a sucker -g-)

Best stock picker of the Year
A person with uncanny ability to pick stocks at the right time and sell at the right time.
My nominations: Terry Davis, Ken Sanders, Ibexx, Leo F.,

Abrakadabra or Best Technician of the Year
A person with great insight in to market psychology and good at identifying turning points or prevailing trends for individual stocks.
My nominations: Tom Trader, Iqbal Latif, Jon Tara, Ground Zero, Donald Sew, Kevin, Judy, Larry Dudash, Joseph G.

The Fundamentalist
A person with a good eye for the fundamentals on individual stocks.
My nominations: Michael D. Burke, Roger Babb, Joseph G., Mohan V. (with due modesty, of course)

Best Technology Guru
He/she knows all about internet, intranet, PCs, mainframes, workstations OR all about biotech - genes, molecules and some such. (Need not necessarily be good at stock picks.)

My nominations: Paul Engel, Henry Neiman, Zeev Hed

SI's Best Funny/Witty Person
My nominations: Ken Sanders, Taste Like Chicken, Jumper, Michael D. Burke.
