To Thread: Anybody know anything about the Compaq 4540 Presario? Saw it in best buy and they said it was new - has an AMD processor and in listed for under $1100. There is no info on it at the Compaq Web page and I tried a few retailer sites and "no cigar" Thanks, KAD

Last night, as I'm sure you know, Forbes named cpq company of the year. Today the stock is moving on that rec which has been mentioned on CNBC several times. I think Ken Tower is full of it and he's just sorry he didn't buy the stock sooner. I believe from all the anecdotal evidence and from all the surveys, etc. that compaq will do well this quarter and the next. I mean who IS Ken Tower; have I missed an important name in the biz (always possible). UST securities? Stephen, I just think the guy doesn't know what he's talking about. dulane
