<There are other "foreign" homilies - such as you can always tell a Texan, though you can't tell him much - but I will leave them to those closet Texas wannabes that revel in their recounting.>

Here's one you can probably appreciate up in Baastan. Texas columnist Molly Ivins said, "Real Texans do not use the word 'summer' as a verb."

Texas wannabes that revel in their recounting.

There are two things I know about Texas. (1) To get there from California, head east until you smell it then go south until you step in it. (2) The best way to see Texas, is in your rear view mirror! <VBG> Oh and do you know why they call Texans "Cow Pokes"?

But, I'm here in the land of fruits & nuts.

Why, that's mighty neighborly of you. I think the quote in my profile pretty well sums it up....

Never ask a man if he's from Texas. If he is, he would have already told you. If not, why embarrass him?

I understand that feeling...the combined hits of ASND and CYMI have greatly impacted my total purchasing power. I hope Q1/98 is when things begin to right themselves. Incidentally, that moron Cramer was on CNBC again, with his doomsday predictions for the first half of '98. jhild, I read your post three times and concluded I cannot tell if you prefer Boston. Which is it? Glenn
