I would like to see someone with more knowledge in the graphics arena make the case of AMD here. It is an area where I haven't seen any dirty tricks by AMD, so there isn't any reason to argue. That will leave fpg out of the discussion but perhaps someone else can explain the relative competitive positions of AMD and NVidia? Can someone make a case that VR will provide enough of a revenue base to bring AMD into a profitable position? Recent rumors about Intel negotiating with AMD to license patents could never be verified by any reliable sources. They appear to be vapor.

Why does AMD have almost no presence in HPC when it appears their hardware is competitive? Is it because of lack of support (which I suspect) rather than lack of horsepower? Can graphics pull AMD out of the fire should Zen fail to be a success?
