That's interesting wharf, I will look at Fairbanks. We broke the record just yesterday, see link below. All of our plants are budding right now. I do not ever remember seeing the plants budding in March. I was out fertilizing and liming my lawn yesterday.

I have been reading some stuff lately that says that things are really worse with regard to climate change than previously predicted. But that doesn't surprise me, I have posted many times that scientists are very careful about their work and they are more likely to understate something than to overstate it because they don't want to be seen as engaging in hyperbole among their peers. Or crazy.

My son-in-law, whom you know of, is the most cautious guy on the face the earth-lol. he is so careful about his entire life, but also his reputation as a scientist, that he is not even comfortable speculating very much. He doesn't like to say anything unless he can prove it in the laboratory, or otherwise.

But the one thing he has always told me is that:" we know". He said getting satellites up was what really nailed it because it allowed them to confirm so much data they had.

We pretty much had no winter. We also had no winterr last year. Our ski lift was only open a few days in both years and people wanted their money back for their season tickets. And our ground really never even froze this year more than a couple of inches. We seem to be in a whole new ballgame, but one most of us here are not surprised by it.
