Well, the Dems are even more far gone.

It is very possible we have a general election in which neither candidate was the choice of the primary voters. I'm not sure whether that has happened before but it is not commonplace I don't believe.

Either way, I think Republican party has a problem on its hands. Democrats don't give a damn because they are largely yellow dogs and would gladly support Wm. F. Buckley if that is who Debbie Wasserman selected for them. They simply lack the gumption, collectively, to be discriminating about it.

But Republicans do have expectations and I expect a significant chunk of the party to be pissed, whether it is Trump or Cruz or some other appointee.

I think this is the worst set of potential nominees I've ever seen. Cruz, of course, is plenty smart, but I don't think the country wants to turn hard right.

But I'd be glad to support Cruz just to see him debate Hillary. Even better, if he debated Bernie on the same day Hillary was being crucified for her crimes against the nation.

Man shot live-streaming: Man taking selfie shot in face LIVE on Facebook – with gunman caught on camera ‘Watch’

A man in Chicago shone a bright light on the city’s problems with gun violence when he apparently filmed the moment he was shot while live-streaming a video to Facebook on Thursday afternoon.

The horrific incident was captured on live video and showed the unidentified man on the 5800 block of South Hoyne Avenue in Chicago’s South Side around 4:45 p.m. As he talked in front of a corner store shots rang out, causing him to drop the phone.

With the live-streaming still on, a gunman suddenly came into view and appeared to continue shooting the victim multiple times.

A moment of silence followed with the blue sky, white clouds and a stop sign visible. Shortly after people could be heard approaching and saying he had to be taken to a hospital. A woman screamed, “Oh my God, no … I can’t believe this!”

The victim was undergoing treatment at a nearby hospital as of Thursday night and was one of nine who were shot across the city that day. Two people were left dead in an unrelated shooting in what is shaping up to be the deadliest start to a year for Chicago in decades.
