Say what you will about senator Obama/s posturing at the time, Alito received a fair hearing without delay and was confirmed. This failure of the Republican controlled senate to do their constitutional duties is a new, absolute low precedent, and the leadership is complicit. No confirmation has even taken more than 130 days without an up or down vote.
