That's just bullshit.

The Democrat and Republican leadership averted any use of the so called "nuclear option" in relation to court appointees (due the Republicans having created an unprecedented backlog filling open court seats), as did it Obama's threatened obstruction of Alito when he was a senator. Say what you will about senator Obama/s posturing at the time, Alito received a fair hearing without delay and was confirmed.

This failure of the Republican controlled senate to do their constitutional duties is a new, absolute low precedent, and the leadership is complicit. No confirmation has even taken more than 130 days without an up or down vote.
