<< DUV may remain the dominant technology for as
long as 10 years (but maybe for less?) - but the market assigns increasingly lower multiples to
"one trick horses" as their market matures. >>

Matures? CYMI technology barely out of the gate!

I would appreciate it if someone would please refresh my memory as to the details of the convertable done by CYMI recently. If the stock doesn't recover people won't convert to equity and CYMI will be stuck with the bill. Isn't that correct?

At least INTC and AMAT have stopped going down or bounced. CYMI making new lows all the time.

Shouldnt Cymer's stock price act in conjunction with ASMLF & SVGI--2 of its customers ? How could Cymer's outlook be poor and their outlook be good ? They are both trading higher today while Cymer does its usual thing.

<<It'll be easier for me to hold onto Cymer when it's surrounded by pessimism.

If recent posts do not indicate pessimism, then I need to do some serious soul searching.

If A&A does not issue some kind of statement in early January then they should be drawn and quartered. By that time any excuses are out the window and the fundamentals are or are not intact.

Elroy,

You hit the nail on the head when you said:

"More certainty in the earning outlook for Intel and AMAT will
help. But I think more announcements by Cymer regarding their
future product developments will help Cymer more than just
another quarter of earnings on target."

Remember when it was widely reported (rumor?) that Cymer
employs approximately 60% of the world's DUV scientists?
What long term investors are forgetting is that Cymer
management will utilize that unique and overwhelming
BRAIN POWER to develop other leading products in a multitude
of fields including DUV. Knowledge is Power.

I agree with you and many other contributors to this thread that
management is doing a very *poor* job in the public relations
department. We all want to know what other fields other than
DUV are attractive to Cymer? And to what degree are R & D
dollars being targeted to those endeavors?

Cymer management reviews this thread. Mr. Angus, come out
of the dark and give all shareholders a sense of what's
going on and, most importantly, disclose to us what's over
the horizon in the forseeable future. It would be very much appreciated.

Many thanks, Allan
