Good question Bigtoe. Must be convertible debt being converted or some behind the scenes deal being executed. Anyone else have an explanation?

Thanks for the Biz Week article JJB. I find the NASD attitude toward the problem (i.e. "it's not that big a problem..." unacceptable.

Bigtoe- I don't know. I personally feel that it is still year end tax selling. If the price stays down after Thursday, I will be extremely disappointed. I hope this fire sale is about over.

Bigtoe: Sometimes at yearend you will see high volume and no movement in stocks because a lot of arranged trades are being made for tax purposes. For example, someone with a loss in a stock might sell the stock in their own name, and simultaneously buy it at the same price in their retirement plan. That way they can take the loss, but not entirely miss out if the stock pops up after tax loss selling season.
