In a 25-page letter to lawmakers, the DEA said they plan to decide in the "first half of 2016" if marijuana's federal status should be changed. Federal law currently classifies marijuana—along with heroin, MDMA, mescaline, and other drugs—as a Schedule 1 classified substance, defined as having a "high potential for abuse" and "no currently accepted medical use." According to the agency, "schedule I drugs are the most dangerous drugs of all the drug schedules with potentially severe psychological or physical dependence." Nearly half of the states, plus the District of Columbia and Guam, have passed laws to allow for some form of medical marijuana use. According to the memo, the DEA has received a scheduling recommendation from the Food and Drug Administration, but it did not say what it was. The agency also said it is working with the FDA and the National Institute On Drug Abuse on a review of cannabidiol, which is often used to treat epilepsy, for a possible rescheduling as well. The letter was in response to questions that eight Democratic senators sent at the end of December, including inquiries about the state of medical marijuana research.

Bernie Sanders Believes Bread Lines Are Good [ Bernie is showing that millions of Americans are willing to vote for their own economic ruin. I don't know why people say Bernie is a nice guy. He's not. He's a rat! A failure in life filled with bitter hatred for successful people. ] The theft-based economic system Bernie Sanders plans to impose on America would inevitably result in bread lines. This isn’t a bug; it’s a feature. Sanders thinks bread lines are a good thing. An actual Bernie Sanders quote: “You know, it’s funny. Sometimes American journalists talk about how bad a country is because people are lining up for food. That’s a good thing. In other countries, people don’t line up for food. The rich get the food and the poor starve to death.” By “other countries,” he presumably means the country leftists like himself most hate for becoming wealthy through economic freedom, the USA. But as Katie Pavlich notes, In America, the rich don’t get to eat while the poor starve to death as Sanders claims. Not in the 1980s and not now. In fact, in America a hot meal is available three times a day for the poor and the homeless. The federal government spends $75 billion per year on the food stamp program to ensure families don’t go hungry. The number one health problem in America is obesity. Meanwhile in modern day Venezuela, the government is rationing food, water and toilet paper while the poor in America are watching cable television. Overall, America’s poor live far better than the rest of humanity thanks to a free market, capitalist economic system. But not for long, if Bernie Sanders and his supporters have their way. The important thing is to impose equality. Rather than one person dining on steak at a fancy restaurant while another buys hamburger to cook at home, it is preferred for everyone to have to stand in line all day for a stale crust of bread, as in the Soviet Union. Only when everyone is held down to the lowest level of existence can we be rid of income inequality. Needless to say, Bernie Sanders won’t be waiting in line for his own stale crust. The administrators always get an exception. That’s why Kim Jong-Un keeps packing on the pounds, even as he warns his subjects to prepare for famine. Not just wacky.
