That's pretty much a variation on what Friedman tried to accomplish with his prescriptions. Didn't pan out.

i'm guessing that you're referring to monetarism here, but i'm pretty sure in one of my posts i said a fiat could be done in the private sector. government run or not, isn't a point of contention. a fiat simply has to be honestly run and trusted. how will it be trusted? whoever runs it will have to earn the trust, and that isn't easy. i guess nothing worthwhile is.
