GATHER ROUND Fresh Venezuelan Lottery Figures One thing that we all have been lacking is INFO providing us with Revenue's created currently by other lottery's in Venezuela. Well we now have them and if do say so myself they are very impressive . Now we finally have something for all of us to base our comparisons off of .These are
very exciting numbers.

Here are some excerpts from a Article just received today
Looks like my comments might not be to far off

Subj: Venezuelan Lottery Figures

I just received a complimentary copy of a publication
that we have been requested to advertise in called,
"World Directory of Lotteries and Suppliers-1997". Published
by, Public Gaming Research Institute, 4020 Lake Washington Blvd.
NE, Ste.100, Kirkland WA 98033.

As I was thumbing through it, I came accross information of 7 Venezuelan Lotteries. I can't tell you if they are the "legal" kind or the "illegal" kind, but 2 of them actually put out some numbers so, I would guess that at least those 2 must have some type of legitimacy.

The interesting part of all of this to me, is that the numbers that are being reported are pretty hefty in my opinion, considering that they most likely represent about 1/2 of what is really happening.
For what they are worth, here they are:

Loteria Del Tachira----(representing the State of Tacheria) and Promotora Lotto Quiz, SA are the only two that actually provide numbers. Loteria Internacional De Margarita only tells us that the 1996 sales were 45%-50% over 1995. The other 4 only give the address and names of principals, no financial information.

Loteria Del Tachira--1996 sales: 42.55% over 1995
1996 Revenue: 56,986,860,635 (Bolivars)
1996 Revenue converted to US Dollars (@ 500 Bolivars/USDollar)
equals, $113,973,721.27 (US)

Promotora Lotto Quiz SA--1996 Sales--$12.0 million (US Dollars)
6 Months of operation.

These are great numbers
After all, these are "paper" lotteries that you have to wait for the number to come out twice per week I think. We are "instant" now, and we expect to make exciting additions to this lottery in Mid 1998 with system changes to be discussed at a later date LOL ,and literally kick the hell out of anything that is in the marketplace. Remember also, Lotteries are the only game in town right now.

Lets all get out our calculator's again and see where we are with these numbers on a percentage bases.
