Wharfie, one of the arguments for raising the minimum wage is the notion that the current minimum wage is being subsidized by government welfare programs. Raise the minimum wage to that of a "living wage," and you greatly reduce the need for welfare.

That should be great for California, which has one third of the nation's welfare cases despite only making up 12% of the American population.

After 2022, that should be reversed, AMIRITE KOMRADE?
