Hi Jim: Well, it's a little late to be a Christmas present, but I
will take it. At least we now know the period of not knowing has
finite limits. Thanks for sharing the information with the thread.

Regards,

Jeff

Hi, J.E., your news from D.J. was appreciated, but was late in coming.
What I wish he had told you was that he was hiring an experienced production manager.

What we have here is a saleable product, the anode sludge. Why aren't we turning out as much as we can? We have something the refiners want and covet. Why are we sitting around and not producing as much as possible. Reminds me of the story of the little boy and his red wagon. By golly now I got it and what do I do with it?

I expected to be real happy with GPGI stock at Christmas time 1996 and was disappointed. I expected the same for Christmas 1997 and I received it??

Now GPGI's CEO, D.J. knows of a closed down refinery that he can pick up for a song and sing it himself. This is exactly what we need- not more desert acres. I've been led to believe we have Ore Grande already. What do we need with more properties-unless it's free.

I still like your style J.E. and look forward to your next post.

Francis Terry.

Thank you for the update, Mr. Currie, but does it really matter at this point?

Here's the blunt, realistic assessment of each of these bullet items:

1. Revenue settlements.
[ We already know... $5000 less "charges" for the stuff sent to Englehard way back when in August.]

2. New shipments of samples (Oro Grande) and product (Slime & Dore') to refiners
[So what? None of these refiners apparently has a clue about what to do with the stuff, except Englehard with the paltry piece of anode sludge.]

2. Present production and plans to increase production.
[Again, so what? Can't refine it, anyway, except for the aforementioned. Meanwhile, the d'ore stuff piles up ... where? With what hope anybody is going to be able to refine it? Why does the word "constipation" keep forming in my mind's eye?]

3. Status of becoming a fully reporting company.
[Nice, but who'll care when they're sending 50 ounces once in a blue moon to Englehard, who then pays them once in a bluer moon.]

4. Possible acquisition of new property.
[Why? They can barely eke out anything from what they've already got.]

5. New offices and personnel additions
[This must be the "three heads are thicker than one" theory of management.]

Somebody tell me where there is anything about which to be encouraged; I see little.

Bottom Line: This is a semi-hopeless situation destined to wander in the wilderness for who knows how long, with the only hope being something akin to that classic cartoon where the scientists are looking at an elaborate equation on the blackboard, and in the centre is a cloud with the label "And here a miracle occurs".

Good luck, best wishes.
