In deference to elmatador... Imho the financial collapse of 2001 and beyond has not happened. Obama claims to have saved us from the greatest collapse of all time. No one I know went hungry or starved to death. Financial manipulation gets us in trouble and then gets us out of trouble. But that has taken place throughout history. We find ourselves in trouble and invent our way out. We will solve global warming if and when it is a real problem. We will solve peak oil if and when it is a problem. Mq, I can see the top of the gene pool improving, but the problem with your logic is the bottom, the poor and uneducated cant find substantial men to fill their oven. Their choices are limited. But that is not all, they are reproducing much faster than the top of the gene pool. I think US population growth in the underclass via birth or immigration is causing incoming inequality. You can't double triple or quadruple the lower quintile and not expect that to distort the wages and inequality on the low end. But Koan, those problems will be solved as we wind our way toward the singularity. Maybe we need a good war or a fatal disease only cured but money or intelligence, I would be for that. Elmatador, I hope I have enough financial reference for you, I am in the Montevideo airport heading for Iguazu. One thing is for certain, everywhere you go people have smart phones thanks to you! And that imho is leading to higher literacy. Although texting may be a new language. Remember it's all follies, don't take it too seriously.
