"Any thoughts about what kind of open would persuade you to pull the trigger on either one?"

Esteban,

Sorry to say, but no, I don't have any thoughts. Have never been in this position before. What I'm trying to do this morning is figure out why OXHP ran up the way it did. Until the last 5 minutes it looked like a dog, then it suddenly behaved truly cat-like.
My thoughts all day had been that it needed to close a gap. On the chart, that is what appears to have happened. Maybe there's a lesson in that. Maybe not.
If someone put a gun to my head and said, Put your children's education money on one or the other, I'd have to go with OXHP at the moment. SGI has already signaled, for one thing, and though OXHP is a little early, you have to consider the year-end consequences, plus the fact that it's SO closely watched. I also started to make a move on SGI yesterday (I had problems transfering money from my trading account to my margin account, where I needed to buy it to make it worthwhile); now, I'm glad I didn't. The last five minutes yesterday was an educational experience for me. Glad I didn't have to pay for this one. Usually do.

Esteban:

I knew something was keeping me from OXHP; looked back at the chart: It gapped a second time on 12/9-10. That's why I haven't looked at it seriously until now. One of my (tentative) rules so far is that a second gap leaves open the possibility that extreme panic has not left the building yet, making it not a DC but a FK (falling knife).
BIG DIFFERENCE. SGI, on the other hand, most definitely did signal yesterday. To finally answer your Q this morning, I'll definitely be looking at SGI. I will not even bring up quotes for OXHP lest I be tempted.
Sorry for all the posts yesterday.

Ivan
