So you twist it to defend an indefensible position. The Republican's always try to lay segregation on the Democrats and use Dixiecrats as their example, when they know full well the Dixiecrats were CONSERVATIVE democrats and after the 1964 civil rights act the Dixiecrats joined the Republican party they were so upset to lose segregation. You will not find ONE liberal that voted against the 1964 civil rights act. They were ALL conservatives.
