He has enough education to discern between global warming denier propaganda and scientific facts. He's a communicator, not a scientist. He's able to communicate climate science to the general public in plain language for all to understand.

TG,
Bill Nye studied mechanical engineering at Cornell University and graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree.
So Bill Nye is just as much of a scientist as I am.

That's still science and remember that was his BS, he had a long career after in science.... My son got a BS in Mech Engineering and then got an MS and PhD in Materials Science but he got his MS in the Fuel Science department doing his research on erosion of coal slurry nozzle materials, then switched to electronic materials for his PhD... I got my BA in chemistry and physics but rarely touched a test tube.....got into the semiconductor business in it's infancy and spent 37 years as a silicon process and device structures engineer.... I've heard him a few times and Bill Nye is a smart guy.
