Jon-Believe your intentions are noble in a quest for the truth. However, semantics and methodology are not as important as the result of the design. I have not provided any misleading information and you appear to have your own definitions of Java processors and Java-native processors(different from the Java source-SUNW). The following Sun Microsystems press releases recognize the Patriot Scientific Corp. PSC1000 as a Java-native processor: 1.http://www.sun.com/smi/Press/sunflash/9711/sunflash.971111.4.html "SUN MICROSYSTEMS POISED TO LEAD NETWORKED EMBEDDED SYSTEMS MARKET; COMPLETES CHORUS SYSTEMS ACQUISITION AND ANNOUNCES JAVAOS FOR NC AND JAVAOS FOR APPLIANCES" ..."Unveils Business Road Map that Positions Sun as Technology Leader in Networked Embedded Systems Market"... ..."PALO ALTO, Calif., - November 11, 1997"... KEY EXCERPT: ...""We've been greatly anticipating Sun's JavaOS for Appliances," said Phil Morettini, vice president of sales & marketing for Patriot Scientific Corporation. "The Java technology, in conjunction with products like our PSC1000 Java-native processor, will allow OEM manufacturers to build today the new low-cost Internet appliances everyone has been waiting for. Java, as an industry standard, will allow the Internet-enabling of many devices which until recently was limited to Dick Tracy and Science Fiction."..." END EXCERPT 2.http://www.sun.com/smi/Press/sunflash/9709/sunflash.970924.1.html "REAL-TIME OPERATING SYSTEM INDUSTRY STANDARDIZES ON PERSONALJAVA, EMBEDDEDJAVA" PALO ALTO, Calif., Sept. 24, 1997"... KEY EXCERPT: ..."Quotes from PersonalJava and EmbeddedJava Endorsers"... ..."Patriot Scientific Corporation "PersonalJava is a perfect fit for devices built around our PSC1000 Java native microprocessor family," said Mike Carenzo, president & CEO of Patriot Scientific Corporation. "The PersonalJava/PSC1000 combination allows OEMs to design low cost, high performance Internet appliances, while maintaining compatibility with the Java-enabled enterprise desktop."..." END EXCERPTS URL's 1. and 2. above are official Sun Microsystems(SUNW) press releases. SUNW seems to recognize the PSC1000 Java-native processor, but by your definition, none exists. Maybe a comparision would be a wholly owned subsidiary of a corporation. It does not have to be 100%, just like a Java-native processor does not have to be 100% native. Design results are the key, not what you call it. Enough time on these semantics, let's evolve, like Java and the PSC1000 are doing. Take care. Aloha, Delite
