Sounds reasonable to me, afterall, Friday isn't liely to be a strong day for trading and barring some major announcements, most stocks probably will be pretty stable.
I wouldn't ecpect to many announcements at this point until Monday anyway.
Lets make the deadline prior to the opening of trading on Monday morning the 5th. That is your email has to be timed before 9.00 AM eastern or 6AM Pacific.
We will have to start a new string, any volunteers as I have to run off right now and will do it tomorrow morning if not already done??
May I suggest a breif 2 - 3 lines under your email picks stating why for us all to read, I know not everybody will want to do this, but lets see if we can get more involved in this.
Gary

In my opinion you can't have a deadline past market open on the 2nd of January. If you allow that, I'll simply do a look-up at Canada StockWatch of the highest percentage increases on the TSE, ASE and VSE for January 2nd and enter those as my picks.

Granted the markets may be quiet on Friday as someone suggested, but every day there's at least one or two low volume stocks that go up 50 or 60 percent on the basis of one trade.

My 2 cents ... never been worth anything before:)

Kieth, Jan 4 for a deadline is a good idea. Bob
