Bill: SHADOW BROKERS??
When I was a broker - our compliance department checked
my own holdings often AND those of relatives' accts. Looking
for the sort of abuses you intimate here.
Best

Bill, there is a fundamental difference here:

In our scenario, EVERYONE could be the shadow broker. At least in your example, the customer does have to make the trade, since he or she has no one to copy from.

Here on SI, there is no way to know the ratio of those doing work to those merely watching. And no one has the obligation to "get the ball rolling" -- everyone could just be sitting around, waiting for the other people to post some info.

It's always "the other guy" who's going to do the work... sad but true, and yes, we can't be Don Quixote every day (but then, we shouldn't be Pancho Villa every day either!).

So. Care to propose some types of work to be divvied up? I'm all ears (or eyes). I'm sure the hardcore regulars are too.

What did the market tell you today, BTW?
