RE: what has Cruz ever done at all for the people, vets, or even the people whom elected him as a first time Senator?

Unlike Trump, Cruz doesn't just talk about being a conservative. He is ranked one of the most, if not the most, conservative senators in congress. He has sponsored 97 bills to help Americans and here are just a few:

- ObamaCare Repeal Act
- Prohibit use of drones from killing citizens of the United States within the United States
- Disarm Criminals and Protect Communities Act
- Firearm Straw Purchasing and Trafficking Prevention Act
- Defund Obamacare Act of 2013
- A bill to amend the National Voter Registration Act of 1993 to permit States to require proof of citizenship for registration to vote in elections for Federal office
- A bill to require the Secretary of State to offer rewards of up to $5,000,000 for information regarding the attacks on the United States diplomatic mission at Benghazi, Libya that began on September 11, 2012
- State Marriage Defense Act of 2014
- A bill to amend title 18, United States Code, to prohibit the intentional discrimination of a person or organization by an employee of the Internal Revenue Service
- A bill to prohibit the Department of the Treasury from assigning tax statuses to organizations based on their political beliefs and activities
- American Energy Renaissance Act of 2014
- A bill to deny admission to the United States to any representative to the United Nations who has been found to have been engaged in espionage activities or a terrorist activity against the United States and poses a threat to United States national security interests
- SuperPAC Elimination Act of 2014
- Free All Speech Act of 2014
- Guantanamo Bay Detainee Transfer Suspension Act of 2014
- A bill to require the Secretary of State to offer rewards totaling up to $5,000,000 for information on the kidnapping and murder of Naftali Fraenkel, a dual United States-Israeli citizen, that began on June 12, 2014
- A bill to prevent the expansion of the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals program unlawfully created by - Executive memorandum on August 15, 2012
- Sanction Iran, Safeguard America Act of 2014
- Expatriate Terrorists Act
- Operation United Assistance Tax Exclusion Act of 2014

In addition, he has sponsored 17 bills or resolutions dealing with veterans issues.

For somebody so sure that Cruz is a terrible human being, you sure don't know much about him.

Maybe you didn't know, the Constitution is set up to be a Republic, not a straight Democracy. Delegates are how Presidents get elected. Al Gore received less of the vote and lost to Bush, Hillary Clinton received more of the primary vote than Obama and lost. Those are the facts. Throughout the history of our country this has occurred.

The only ones who apparently don't know anything about it are Trump supporters. They are either ignorant of the process, or being dishonest and pretending otherwise, because their hero Trump is going to lose at the convention.

Suck it up and deal with it soldier. That's the way it works. That's they way it has always worked in the greatest country in the world and the leader of freedom and prosperity worldwide.

It is inconceivable to me that citizens like you are calling Ted Cruz every name in the book simply because he understood the existing ground rules going into this election cycle, set up an organization whose roots were in existence even before he announced his candidacy, and has run an absolutely brilliant campaign, within the prescribed rules, and by exhibiting an organizational ability that completely eclipses (actually, embarrasses) that shown by his 'brilliant businessman' opponent.

And you choose to crucify a candidate who decides to play by the rules and run an honest campaign, while you also choose to elevate a candidate who knew those rules full well from the word go and, rather than expend the time, energy and research needed to win under them, chose to do nothing more than benefit from them, when he could (and he did, quite often), and whine about them, when they did not work to his advantage.

Contrary to the popular opinion of many Americans, we do not live in a democracy. Our Founders believed that that form of government did not best represent the citizenry. We live in a representative republic, in which we elect people to represent us, by putting those in office (even delegates) who we believe best reflect our views, or whom we trust to make decisions that will best represent our, and America's, best interests.

Ted Cruz has known that since he memorized the Constitution at the age of thirteen. Donald Trump, at the age of sixty-nine, and nowhere near an equal as far an Constitutional scholarship, has yet to wrap his mind around the Founders' vision. And ... amazingly ... he is using his ignorance as a convenient political weapon, because it appeals to others to whom the sound-bite word 'Democracy!' is a rallying cry.

See: Why Our Founders Feared a Democracy

Excerpt: Our Founders very much feared creating a government that had too many aspects of a pure democracy. They feared the destructiveness that a majority might have in trying to make everyone equal, and in the process taking away property, rights of property, and with it our basic freedoms which they considered "God given Freedoms." They very much feared the development of the Robin Hood mentality we are seeing today – soak the rich and give to the poor.
