Intel Cuts 12K Jobs as PC Sales Slide
Been there, done that. I don't remember how many rounds of job cuts I've been through at Intel.
I just bought a new gaming machine, but it sports a just-as-good AMD processor!
That's cool, but in reality you're not saving much money. Intel processors aren't even that expensive these days.

By the way, if you think it's bad at Intel, you should see AMD's headquarters in Sunnyvale. It's a real dump. They might as well move out into leased office space (assuming Apple didn't snatch all of it up) and turn their current office building into residential real estate.

P.S. - Most of my gaming these days is on my iPad. That's the real threat to Intel (though to be sure, iPad sales have flattened).
