Insider, you ask for the "real $ value of Cube's technology going forward over the next twelve months". It's very difficult to answer. Part of the difficulty lies in the fact that Cube is going to have some severe competition in 98. I'm speaking of Lucent Technologies, which agreed last August to join the DTV team, along with Compaq, Intel and Microsoft. Make no mistake about it ( and all the Techies on the thread know it too), Lucent can compete with Cube from a technology point of view. Lucent has the MPEG and digital network expertise to make Cube a niche player here. ESST showed Cube that its chips are not unique. Cube has the technologigal advantage now. But come the fall of 98, I'd put my money on Lucent and the DTV team. The real $ value of Cube's technology will be worth less in the fall of 98 than it is today. Perhaps my post will inspire the one dimensional techies to give you the decency of a response. Most of them don't take well to scepticism and/or bearish attitudes concerning Cube.
