Vid, I appreciate your sentiment very much in that it is very helpful to me to be able to discuss Ariad as I suspect that both of us along with many other retail investors have significant holdings relative to our total assets. That said, being able to discuss different aspects in an objective way (kicking around different factors that "might" affect the ultimate outcome) without a preset bias or ax to grind for me makes for clearer thinking and a realistic look forward.

I know that on the other board I have beaten a dead horse with my dialogue about "the short" positioning yet it is something that I firmly believe and should be reaffirmed to keep others with a positive approach. For sure, this company has required much patience (and I have only been in it for 2.5 years) along with trying to predict a future without all of the inside knowledge or knowing "the plan". As I have said before, it's about reading the tea leaves and then coming up with a theory about what most likely will happen especially with new management and a direction via the BOD with Denner running the show.

At this point, I believe that a buy out will happen sooner than later (I would say within a year) which could very likely be a bidding war between bigger companies that want it with all the potential at lower price as they know a much higher price will be required as time goes on. However, the next hurdle in my opinion will be having to clear out the shorts as the pps can not go higher (unless there is a severe squeeze) and with that perhaps that is part of "the plan" (a controlled covering) as the current short level has allowed safe day trading along with accumulation to go on for the big boys. IMHO of course. Thanks again.
