Dipy:

I was not going to post anything in response to your comment because I am almost 100% sure you come up with some wise-crack sarcastic remark. But could not pass this one!

You state:
> Sure I do. The context is about going ga-ga over tech stocks to the extent that one's portfolio is made entirely of them.

If you go to the third world countries in the middle east that have hostility with the US (lets say Iran or Iraq) all you hear about the US consist of stories on the streests of East LA and the crime rate in Washington DC, and how cowboys killed all the Inidans, and slavory, and...., and basically all the bad there is! It is understood of course why they do that!

Having said that and by looking at the list of high tech stocks you have given which have fallen down by as much as 60-70% you are basically saying that all high techs are bad and all are overvalued (sort of like those hostile middle eastern countries that try to portray the US as an evil empire by pointing out just the bad and taken out of context)! Now I am sure if you use a little bit of your own logic you realize your statement that all high techs are overvalued and bad can not possibly be taken serious and logical!!

Sport you are the one the one that said you like paying a high price for a cheery consenus. Which translated means you like to buy high.
It's there in black and white.

If the valuation of techs, LSI for example, is high then KO and Disney are so far in outer space they might be on your planet.

You also said in your first post that tech stocks did nothing between 1984 and 1990, then when I pointed out they did you hasten to agree in your next post. Hope you don't rip your pants jumping from one side of the fence to the other.

> Tell you what -- even if somebody gave me ASND for 8 bucks, I would be reluctant to take it.

Just think about it Dipy, if you had bought it a few weeks ago at $22 (at the time you were making your wise comments over on the ASND thread) you could have made at least 40% today!

Sorry to bring this up , but it is Friday!! Looking forward to your quick smart remark!
