Thanks, that easy huh. What's your take on the News.com article, if any? It seems to support the view that there will be a scaling back of equipment spending and hence lesser earnings and lower stock prices for the equipment companies. Then again the media offers a plethora of articles that can be selectively employed to support either the bullish or the bearish stance. I think it's possible that 4q earnings may not be as negatively effected by SEA as the street fears and that the anticipated slowdown may become evident in q1 '98 earnings. This could spell a 10-20% uptick in cap equip prices in the near term with a deeper bottom coming in the Spring/Summer as Jay and others predict.
