My first taste of Houston was the first Monday in November, 1974. Got up about 7:30 to walk a couple city blocks to an office building. By the time I got there the back of my shirt was plastered to my back with sweat. I couldn't believe it. The heat and humidity doesn't get to me anymore, you acclimate. But for sure it is NOT almost 3 degrees hotter here now as Rat claims. I remember years back walking out the door here, even early in the AM in summers, and it felt like you just walked into a sauna, a hot sauna. Haven't felt that way in a very long time, don't remember it over the past year at all. Actually, many times I've walked out and thought man, it's pretty nice today.
