All I am hearing today is how wonderfully 'presidential' Trump's speech was. The fact that he used a teleprompter to deliver it, the fact that the foreign policy details that were contained in it had not been uttered by him before today, and the fact that the semantics with which they were delivered were completely unlike anything else he has said during this entire campaign are evidence of the fact that someone else obviously wrote the speech for him ... which would be fine if its content were simply an eloquent summary of his previously expressed policy beliefs, but the content was completely dissimilar to anything he has said before. The only words that appeared to be Trump's were the occasional 'really, really' and 'believe me' and 'terrific' (and the like). Fiorina's speech was Reagan-esque, eloquent, passionate and delivered without visual aid, and from the heart ... among the most moving speeches I have heard in recent memory, delivered by a woman who is genuinely devoted to wresting our republic from those who have sought to, and are seeking to, re-make her into a society that bears no resemblance to our Founders' vision. It is deeply discouraging to hear the media praising Donald Trump's speech. Anyone can pay someone to write words for delivery. It is akin to hiring an artisan to spend months building a stunning family heirloom out of magnificent hardwoods, and then accepting the praise yourself for his creation. It is equally disturbing to hear the media downplaying Carly's wonderful heartfelt passion, devotion and off-the-cuff eloquence as 'desperation'. Such is American 'news' today.
