Nothing that has happened over the past few years can rationally be described as socialism in this country. Things might have been better for the middle class if it had. Now a lot of Trump followers, at least those who can handle words of more than 1 syllable, think that Trump is going to institute "economic nationalism". From the descriptions it sounds a lot like fascism where the government tells businesses what they can and cannot do, like prohibiting offshoring. That doesn't sound much like capitalism at all. At least not the brand you usually prattle about.
