Okay - so you believe she understood full well that pugs was calling you a criminal. Then that is why you posted the insult, and an insult it was, no mistaking for an expression that has some other meaning. Ellen has now stated she believed it was being used as an expression, that is, it's non-literal use. So you may as well call her a liar also I guess. Of course, the question still stands why you couldn't be man enough to say "Ellen, you know damn well what pugs means" instead of resorting to the name calling(note, it is no "expression" that has some other meaning).

Basically you are saying you decided to insult Ellen because you BELIEVED she understood that pugs was calling you a criminal. Do you think she deserved that, she didn't call you anything. Be a man, apologize, and take it up with pugs.
