If he loses, his fans will blame it on Cruz and the anti-Trump forces.

If he wins, and botches or reverses himself on all the substantive issues as expected, there probably won't be a great awakening among his base. They will accept his liberal doctrine as long as he continues to wave his arms and call people names. To them, he is "telling it like it is."
