>>>That fact that you have out-performed the market in your trading
account is great, however, it does not conflict with StaggerLee's
ssertion that most short-term traders underperform the market.<<<

He said virtually all. I'll concede that probably somewhere around 90%
do. Virtually all would be > 99.9% IMO.

>>>Also, how long have you been short-term trading?<<<

Started this month with the daytrading. I posted here when I was planning on starting. Nope, it's not a career, or proof, but it is a good start.

>>>Have you made consistent gains for 3 or more years?<<<

Nope. Basically 1997 is when I started limiting risk, gave up the "buy and hope" MF strategy. I think the market is not going to be that easy buy and it will rise deal of the last 15 years. I think it will be the Motley Fools that will underperform the market. BTW, my position trades that outperformed were mostly shorts (thanks again Manny!), so I'm not sure the old phrase "Don't confuse a bull market with brains" comes into play.

>>> What is your strategy (if you have one)?<<<

Find a stock that's gonna go down and sell it. If it ain't gonna go down, don't sell it.

>>>Do you think LevelII quotes give you a big advantage?<<<

Levell II gives me a deeper understanding of my losses. <G>

Hope this helps,

Barb
