I don't want to get into semantics of non-literal "expressions". You didn't like mine. I don't like Pugs'.

But I'd rather get back to business. What do you think about the ever-delayed $5 million, promised to be into the company by the 24th, and reported to already be in NY on the 24th.

Now I hear Pugs say the 5th. So the wire transfer would take 11 days from NY?

Ellen, these guys don't understand how many times a parent will call their kid with a friend "partners in crime". I know I've don it when I saw a couple of kids together cooking up a scheme. I've never thought of it as a literal phrase. Only someone with giulty thoughts would think of it as literal. I know the kids do when they are cooking up something naughty and hear it used.
