I do not tend to see words but scan pages. I am not a good speller and have trouble seeing spelling mistakes even if I go back over something I have written. I did live overseas and had some non English education I joke that in England I would have never gotten in medical school due to my English. That deficit doesn't seem to affect even my verbal IQ as I did better than any of my medical colleagues within talking distance when they gave us an IQ test in class. I can scan 100 pages of medical documents in minutes. They say Lawrence of Arabia could not recognize people by their faces and had to wait for them to speak to know who they were. I always wondered if this deficit in some way made him so likable to the Arab people. Maybe my inability to see detail allows me to cut through the noise.

Actually the 101 percentile on the intelligence scale or any other scale by definition does not exist.You just want to be a higher IQ 100.There are many genes in intellect.What if two or three must jump at the same time to take you to a higher level and one on its own jumping causes schizophrenia.100 is just dangerous to the passing on of ones genes.The person themselves may live a great life.And yet the survivor child might have such an advantage so as to outweigh the apples that fall in the wrong place
