Of course there was a chance Intel could lose but they both decided to settle, remember?. From Intel's perspective, a jury couldn't get the facts straight on OJ killing Nicole. Why take the chance on getting a jury like that? For AMD, maybe it was the fact that no one has ever corroborated AMD's claims in a legal setting that made them gun shy. If it weren't for the high probability of losing, AMD would never have settled for chump change when they could have won $30B.

Now I know you live to argue but you've had your say and I've had mine. Let's drop it.
