Here's an interesting link from almost a year ago which I do not recall seeing mentioned here.

speechtechmag.com

It describes a chip which uses neural network technology for voice recognition, and sells for a few bucks. Can anyone familiar with fonix's technology tell us how the fonix approach is superior, and how fonix's patent is unique, since obviously others can use neural networks for this application?

The magazine this came from seems like an excellent resource for those interested in speech recognition technology. It's online, and I got the original link from an individual who posted on the Motley Fool and Yahoo boards - criticized this board in both places and even criticized one board on the other, while using a different name, but his post was at least worthwhile for the link - thanks, if you're still out there!
