Maybe so, but the USS United States doesn't pull U turns. It will take a decade, at least.
Currently, the left doesn't control anything. The presidency, congress, the Supreme Court - nada.
Not even most states.

I think Bernie is Dead Man Walking. The party platform document is only useful for wiping one's ass during a toilet paper shortage. He may get a few planks but it won't matter.
