MIND's my one holding in this sector that didn't have a bang-up
day yesterday, so a little news is welcome. Still hoping that
waves from secondary offering damp out soon and M. resumes speed.

Hoping for another series of up days. (And years, too, in this
sector.)

Lone Star seen as merger possibility -report
NEW YORK, Dec 30 (Reuters) - Lone Star Technologies might be purchased by Robert Bass, or the Texas financier might help the company merge with another company, according to money managers and others interviewed for a story in BusinessWeek's Jan. 12 issue.
The magazine said Bass, who made it known earlier this month that his group might acquire the oilfield equipment maker, could buy the 75 percent of the stock it doesn't yet own or help the company merge.
