Re -- Guess who the principal beneficiary of sub-$1000 computers is (besides the consumer). Microsoft. Microsoft will do everything it can to create competition for Intel because it means lower priced computers, and as a result more consumers buying more operating systems and more software.

Read the above stmt, and list the number of assumptions you have made. Let me start you off...
1. sub-1000 noise, is not AMD, it is intel who sells 90% of the chips in this area..
