Koan you need to stop and look at how the ACA has screwed up. You can't vote yourself rich. Instead of posting so much on what you want and think you deserve, why not post some of the details of how you think it can be implemented, and by details I don't mean the ballot box, I mean how Utopia is going to actually function and pay for all you want. I look around my little town and there is a shockingly high number of unemployed who have somehow gotten on SS Disability, section 8 housing, food stamps, Medicare, and they are quite delighted. In their 30's and 40's many of them. Most of the problems they have are self-inflicted, i.e. dropped out of HS, have conflict resolution issues, substance problems, etc. And for all these poor personal choices, the nanny state we already have has rewarded them with dependency for life. What is really funny is they vote Republican and are staunch advocates for Trump...

"How does that make sense?" You don't get this country at all. You complain about the right wing, but you don't seem to realize they live here, and they prevent us from being like the other Western democracies. We're very very different from the Europeans. We've got a population with crazy religious beliefs. They're so in love with weapons they can't see straight. Our electorate is not going to turn socialist. They're not even going to turn left. If we are lucky we can make centrist. I've always felt the dreamers of the world sell us non-existent timeshares built of rainbows and gumdrops. That's why I really don't like Bernie. I know he thinks we've got trouble, right here in River City- but like Trump, I don't think he's capable of doing anything real about it. Give me someone who is a practical doer any old day. That's just my opinion, of course. I don't see much salutary in hot air and sanctimony.
