Don't know if this might help, but post #1177 was sent by Rodney's son and his name is David. Might not be a bad idea to also search for a phone number for a David Babcock in the same area. Sure hope we can find out about Rod.

FYI - The Willamette Valley was created by the Willamette River which runs south to north in the western portion of Oregon, joining the Columbia River at Portland, Oregon. The odds are good Rodney is in the Portland area somewhere because the only other town of any size in the Willamette Valley is Salem. BTW, the proper pronunciation is Wil-LAM-ette NOT Wil-lam-ETTE.
