John, I agree. I have never intentionally gone to Lycos and I visit Yhoo all the time.

Jon--Lycos isn't a bad search engine.
I do use it a fair amount. It Excite and Hotbot are probably my favorites. As a investment I think though you have an excellent point. It lacks even the name recognition that I suspect is partially fueling Yahoo's climb. Yahoo may still have some significant upward moves ahead of it. Lycos seems much less dangerous in that direction. These internet based companys may be the Y2K equivilent of 1998 with the same rewards for shorts.
All the Best

Jon--my point exactly !! I use yhoo and I use EXCITE in fact I prefer it over yhoo but to be honest I am now long XCIT. The chart looks great and the market cap is amazing between the 2 of them. Recently the news stories about XCIT being the best search engine and the article in fortune magazine about them being undervalued made me jump in for the ride. LCOS, unless someone can convince me otherwise is a great hedge against going long xcit and yhoo by shorting it and now options are being traded on them.
Jon--I respect your input here--what are your thoughts about shorting any of the internet telephony companies at this point.
