Yup,

It costs money to get the resources out of the ground.

But for fossil fuels it's getting more expensive, not to mention the decline in EROIE for them.

That's not a problem for renewables. Their EROIE is actually increasing.

On the other hand my renewables can be recycled and as more of them are built that resource base just gets bigger and bigger and thus mining costs and energy requirements for them decline.

You FF guys are moving into a "coffin corner" conundrum problem of massive proportions.

Once you burn them, they are gone.

After all, they are finite.
