synchro: I honestly do not disagree with your post. The points you make are valid, and IMO, pretty darn accurate. And there is certainly nothing wrong with loving one's country. I sighted those particular cases, events to demonstrate that all systems have their flaws, their short comings. After all, all systems are made up of humans.... and I'll be the first to admit I am FAR FAR away from being flawless. I suppose that is one of the reasons I try not to engage in political critisism of other countries. All of us on the planet pretty much live in glass houses, and throwing stones is a bad idea, or so the proverb says. I hope you & yours had a pleasant holiday Regards, Doug
