In the three day trading period following my posting of the Fine
Nine, the list has accomplished a gain of 6%. Not a bad start.

One share of each company had a value of $17.17 to start trading
this past Monday. Upon closing today, shares are now worth $18.20.

Seven companies have increased in value, while two have lost
ground. Interesting note, all the oil and gas producers are up,
while the two oil and gas service companies are down. The two
service companies are fairly new issues.

I believe there are enough fundamentals underlying these companies
and share prices should remain stable through the 1st quarter of
1998. The following quarter is where share appreciation should sit
in. My investment strategy would be to have invested 50% of
available capital this week with the balance to be invested
approximatly April 1st, regardless of any share movement that
occurs in between.
