In my morning readings on Yahoo the layoffs are already happening:
one article talked of hundreds being let go in the mining industry,
the Korean leader is locked in a struggle with union leaders over
job losses in industries that must be pared back to stay competative, Malaysia ordering finance companies to merge, the two
big Swiss banks merging, those several Japanese companies which
have filed for reorganization already. The layoffs have begun and
will get worse. The asian countries don't seem to be as keen on
announcing how many to be layed off as the U.S is. Regards, Ron

BY-- Watch for problems with job growth, or lack of, and profit declines in California.
They will get "asianed" first in the US.
