A massive outpouring of carbon dioxide from the deep ocean may have helped end the last ice age, scientists report today. -

There've been a series of ice ages and interglacials. It's been a cyclical thing for millions of years .. guess the deep ocean must be on a schedule. Actually those orbital positional changes have been driving this.
