On the subject of a wish list for this thread:

A lot of the trading -- as well as long-term buying -- I do is during strong downswings in the market. These are difficult times, but can also be very profitable ones. Panic is ubiquitous, blood is running in the streets, etc. Disciplined buying in times of mass selling is generally a good strategy, but I'd like to refine it more (I've been burned more than once trying to catch falling knives). I would like this thread to be a "voice of reason" during such downswings. This thread did a remarkably good job of preventing many of us (including me, including Bill) from losing our money by shorting the Halloween mini-Kahuna. Let's hope we can do more of that in the future, first with market crashes as a whole, but perhaps with individual sectors (stocks) as well.
