GZ:

"If you count the number of days from that Nov. high to the day where the line is bisected, you are half way through that cycle."

This concept should apply to longer-term projections as well, no? Very interesting, but I wonder, why this is so? At first glance this concept seems applicable to Elliott's theory -- from wave inter-dependenct to temporal dependency, or perhaps an interviening variable such as resonace to augment or supress the waves.

Foggy concept, but verrrry interesting.

Thanks.

Ciao, Ted

Good Morning GZ
Ted has just asked a question that seems very important to the system
you have worked out and the successful use of its signals.

What puzzles me is how do you know an objective has started or been met.
Why was this turn of yesterdays 113 + rise an indication of a cycle reversal
and an upward trend. Just a few days age we also had an upswing of 20+
points.....was this not a stronge enough signal?

Also...the market is now working its way up the lower parallel of the new
pitchfork....if the market crosses this parallel at any time...would you
then take this as a signal to move out of a position on the upside or
wait for further conformation.

Lets say on paper, today I bought a call on the DJIA for 8400....
At what point would that position become suspect...realizing we are not
predicting...but following signals.

Thanks
Chip

GZ--

I've been following your discussion about
pitchforks with great interest especially
after you said this indicator in part helped
result to your early retirement. I'm having
a problem, however, finding unambuigous pivot
points for pitchfork construction until many
days after a high or low seems to be in place.

Are the two most recent pivot points
always incorporated into the next pitchfork
such that a sequence of H1/L1/H2 is followed
by L1/H2/L2?

Are pivot points, objectives, and cycle Highs
( or Lows) all three the same thing?

Does counting the number of days between L1
and H2 bisected by the centerline give one
an estimated time cycle goal in which to
look for L2?

Does the center line point the direction
of the trend?

I'm still not sure when to abandon the last PF
and look for and follow the next.
